Martina Tolós successfully defends her Bachelor's Thesis on the development of a rapid test for Dengue detection

On 18 June, Martina Tolós, a Bachelor's student in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, successfully defended her Bachelor's Thesis after completing a four-month research stay at the Interfibio research group.

Her project focused on the development of a lateral flow assay for the detection of anti-Dengue IgM antibodies, contributing to the advancement of rapid and accessible point-of-care diagnostic technologies. During her stay, Martina was involved in different stages of the assay development process, including recombinant antigen validation, nanoparticle-based detection strategies, device optimization, and testing with real samples.

The project provided Martina with hands-on experience in biosensor development and interdisciplinary research, combining concepts from molecular biology, immunology, nanotechnology, and diagnostic device engineering.

We would like to congratulate Martina on the successful completion of her Bachelor's Thesis and thank her for her dedication and enthusiasm during her time at Interfibio. We wish her every success in her future academic and professional career.
