- Bio: Afraa Razouk (Syria, 1994) is a Ph.D. candidate in the Interfibio Research Group, specializing in electrochemical biosensing and molecular diagnostics. Her research focuses on the development of genosensors, isothermal nucleic acid amplification techniques, and DNA-based assays for point-of-care applications. She is particularly engaged in advancing next-generation diagnostics for high-risk Human Papillomavirus (hr-HPV).
Ms. Razouk holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the International University for Science and Technology (IUST), Syria, earned in 2017. She completed a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering Nanoscience at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), Spain, in 2020, followed by a second Master's in the Science of Pharmacy from Saarland University, Germany, in 2023.
Her interdisciplinary expertise spans biosensors, biotechnology, and public health, reflecting a strong commitment to translational research that connects advanced molecular techniques with real-world clinical applications.
